I've been playing DnD with my bf and some of our friends. I decided to make little dice rolling trays I saw on Pinterest. They'll be getting them next session (they have no idea!). I think it'll go over well.
Below is how I did it!
I'm a Southern Belle with a California Girl spirit. I have old fashioned values and modern beliefs. This is a blog about my life.
I'm not perfect, but I'm no longer lost in limbo. I know who I am now. And this is me.

Cactus Fruit!
For Halloween my bf and I decided to do a couples costume, but wanted to do something out of the ordinary. We thought about Pokemon, but finally decided on something dear to our hearts... Cactus!
He would be the Cactus, and I would be the Fruit!

Country Girl in the Big City
Happy 2020!
I realize it's been a few years since I posted an update. I can blame many things, but mostly, I didn't make this blog a priority. I was focused on teaching, and my kitten, and loving life. And I very much did love it.
If you've been a long-time follower (I think I have one, lol), you may notice I changed the info at the top. And that's because I'm no longer living in a rural town. In fact, I made a huge change just last summer.
I moved to the big city.
And I hate it.

Dresser Redo
One of the things I think about when I look around my home is "Ooo, I love this [insert piece of furniture]. It makes me happy to see it every day."
Maybe that's materialistic, but hey.
Many of my furniture pieces are things I coveted for a while before saving up the money for. Others are hand-me-downs that have been recovered, etc. Some were impulse buys from Home Goods (favorite store!). But putting the pieces together in my space makes me happy, and I enjoy seeing them fulfill their purpose.
Then there was my dresser... One of the last pieces of furniture I didn't have any ties to.

Wow. Ok, so... it's been over a year since I last posted, and before that I wasn't posting very frequently. Sometimes life gets busy, and you give yourself silly little excuses why you don't have time, or don't have the energy, or aren't able to do something. Whether that's taking care of yourself (working out, eating right...) or doing other things that are important to you (crafting, blogging...)...
It seems the older we get, the more we find these excuses. I know I have. So I decided at the start of this summer to reflect and look back on me and what I really want to make time for.
And I did.
